On prime time, Meritorious Artist Bui Nhu Lai appeared in the film "My Father, the One Who Stays". The work is a remake of the Chinese film "In the Name of the Family".

The artist plays Mr. Chinh - a simple father, not good at speaking, somewhat hot-tempered, and clumsy in the role of the family's breadwinner. Initially, Mr. Chinh was confused about raising his children after his wife left, but thanks to Binh (Meritorious Artist Thai Son), he gradually learned how to be a good father.

Mr. Chinh is the opposite color of Mr. Binh. Bui Nhu Lai depicts the image of a generous, righteous man, always standing on the side of justice, strong in society but extremely warm and loving to his children.

He is even willing to secretly take his children out for a late-night snack if they are hungry, defend his children when Mr. Binh strictly teaches them, and delicately cares about each child's feelings.

Recently, the scene where Mr. Chinh "warns" the playboy who is pursuing An (Ngoc Huyen) attracted tens of thousands of views. The audience commented that Meritorious Artist Bui Nhu Lai portrayed a witty, warm but no less difficult father, wanting to protect his daughter from the temptations of love.
