In the “Resort Capital”, resorts organize a variety of exciting spring and New Year programs. In Ham Tien – Mui Ne area alone, the number of tourists visiting the resort accounted for 32,000 tourists (up 15% over the same period) out of a total of 95,000 tourists coming to the city during the New Year holidays. In the southern part of the city, the New Year atmosphere is equally exciting with a low-altitude fireworks display on the 3rd day of the New Year in Tien Thanh commune and the VibeFest – NovaWorld program at NovaWorld Phan Thiet.

In the sacred moment of New Year's Eve, 150 fireworks displays lit up the city sky at Le Hong Phong Bridge. People poured into the streets to welcome the New Year and watch the fireworks with excitement and joy. Before the fireworks, the Flyboard performance by a Thai athlete on the Ca Ty River was bustling to serve the people and tourists. Continuing on the first night of the Lunar New Year, the New Year's Eve art program was held at the 7-way intersection - the City's Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism and a comprehensive music program to welcome spring served the people.

The highlight is the Giap Thin Spring Flower Street on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street with the theme: "Phan Thiet - Convergence and Development" associated with entertainment activities, cuisine, lion dance and dragon dance performances attracting people in the province and many places to come and enjoy, bringing a bustling atmosphere during the traditional national New Year. At the same time, sports activities, traditional festivals of basket boat racing on Ca Ty River on the 2nd day of Tet, a new point, this year the City People's Committee organized a jet ski performance before the competition to create a bustling and impressive atmosphere for people, tourists and create a competitive spirit for athletes; the Mui Ne Sand Dunes Run held on the 4th day of Tet took place excitingly.

Spread environmental awareness

During the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the movement of "Urban beautification, environmental preservation, green, clean and beautiful landscape" continues to spread to young people and tourists coming to Phan Thiet City. After the New Year's Eve fireworks show ended, at 0:30 on February 10 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), the militia and self-defense forces of Phu Trinh Ward, Binh Hung Ward and Phan Thiet Trash Lovers Association together collected trash along the sidewalks, on Ba Trieu, Le Hong Phong, Tran Hung Dao streets... The action has spread the message of awareness of joining hands to preserve the common environment. From this action, it creates an effect for young people to respond and participate in picking up trash to make the city clean and beautiful.

To ensure environmental sanitation during the Lunar New Year, the City People's Committee focused on directing and implementing the strengthening of urban order restoration, closely inspecting and monitoring waste sources and ensuring a green, clean and beautiful environment for the city before, during and after Tet. The People's Committees of wards and communes organized campaigns to handle marine waste and clean up the coastal environment at tourist sites. Before Tet, the wards and communes first launched a cleaning campaign attracting more than 470 residents and staff of tourist sites to participate in collecting over 130 m³ of garbage. Along with that, strengthening, inspecting and rectifying the situation of cleaning and burning garbage that damages trees and spoils the urban landscape, especially before, during and after Tet...

The new spring of the young, dynamic city on the path of development is not only the proud national flag flying at the headquarters of agencies, businesses, and households on Tet holiday; visual propaganda images on central roads, public areas or decorative art lighting along both banks of the Ca Ty River... This year's spring also spreads new joy, people's pride in the new appearance of the city, in many streets that have "changed their clothes" into spacious roads, wide sidewalks; modern street name signs with QR codes... The daily changes of the city are the attraction that keeps tourists coming back.
