Hanoi Pedagogical University, Diplomatic Academy, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities and many other universities have announced their benchmark scores, in which the benchmark scores for group C (literature, history, geography) all have an upward trend.
Block C benchmark scores increase steadily
On the morning of August 18, Hanoi National University of Education announced the benchmark score based on the 2024 high school graduation exam score from 22 to 29.3 points. This is the total score of the three subjects, including priority points (if any).
Of which, the two majors of history pedagogy and literature pedagogy have admission to block C00 and the highest standard score is 29.3 points, equivalent to about 9.76 points/subject. Compared to last year, history pedagogy increased by 0.88 points, literature pedagogy increased by 1.47 points.
For the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi , the admission score for the majors of literature pedagogy, history pedagogy, history - geography pedagogy of the University of Education, group C00 is 28.76 points (an increase of 1.59 points compared to last year), an average of more than 9.58 points/subject for newly admitted candidates.
The benchmark scores of Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities continue to be "hot" in the fields of public relations and journalism with benchmark scores of 29.10 and 29.03 points respectively in group C00, equivalent to an average of more than 9.66 points/subject for candidates to have a chance of being admitted.
Thus, the benchmark score for journalism increased by 0.53 points compared to last year, and for public relations increased by 0.32 points.
Most of the remaining majors in group C00 have a benchmark score of nearly 28 points or more, candidates must score more than 9 points/subject to have a chance of being admitted.
The Diplomatic Academy has 8 majors/training programs that recruit students from block C00 (literature, history, geography), of which 7 majors/training programs have a benchmark score of 28.55 - 29.2, equivalent to more than 9.5 points/subject for candidates to have a chance to be admitted. Notably, all majors/training programs have a benchmark score that has increased compared to last year.
Specifically, China's C block has a benchmark score of 29.2 points, an increase of 0.78 points compared to last year; international communications 29.05, an increase of 0.59 points; Korea studies 28.83, an increase of 0.63 points; international relations 28.76, an increase of 0.46 points; Japan studies 28.73, an increase of 0.96 points; American studies and international law both have 28.55 points.
The lowest benchmark score for block C of the Diplomatic Academy is international trade law 28.37, about 9.45 points/subject for newly admitted candidates.
Hanoi Law University has two majors for admission to block C00, in which the law major trained at the main campus takes 28.15 points, an increase of 1.65 points compared to last year (about 9.38 points/subject for new admission), the economic law major takes 28.85 points, an increase of 1.49 points (about 9.6 points/subject for new admission).
Hanoi University of Culture has 17/19 majors/training programs that recruit students for block C00, the admission score for this block ranges from 23.85 - 28.9 points, many majors increased by 2 - 3.63 points compared to last year (last year the admission score for block C00 ranged from 21 - 26.85).
The industry with the highest benchmark score is journalism with 28.9 points, equivalent to 9.63 points/subject to pass (the benchmark score increased by 2.05 points compared to last year), law with 28.8 points (increased by 3.63 points). Most of the remaining industries have benchmark scores above 27.
The major with the lowest standard score is information - library - library and school equipment at 23.85 points, candidates must achieve 7.95 points/subject to be admitted.
Why did the benchmark increase?
Previously, at the regular Government press conference on August 5, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said that compared to 2023, the field with the strongest increase in the number of registered wishes was the field of educational sciences, teacher training with an increase of 200,000 wishes, equivalent to an increase of about 85%. This shows the interest of students in the pedagogical industry thanks to the policy of supporting living expenses, tuition fees...
2024 is also the year that recorded many records for high school graduation exam scores for group C. Specifically, for the first time, the whole country had 19 top students in group C, all achieving 29.75 points.
The literature score is also different from previous years, with 2 candidates scoring 10, 1,843 candidates scoring 9.75, 14,198 candidates scoring 9.5, 26,758 candidates scoring 9.25, and 49,254 candidates scoring 9. The total number of candidates scoring 9 points or more is 92,055.
Considering the scores of each subject, the average score of literature in 2024 increased by 0.37 points compared to 2023. Meanwhile, history increased by 0.54 points and geography increased by 1.04 points. Thus, just counting the average score, the total score of block C in 2024 increased by 1.95 points compared to the previous year.
Previously, many experts predicted that this year's benchmark score for block C would increase sharply by 1-2 points or more.
