Can Te 2 eco-tourism site is located in Huong Thinh village, Huong Phong commune, A Luoi district (Thua Thien Hue province), about 7km from the center of A Luoi district and about 70km west of Hue city.
Established since the end of April 2024, Can Te 2 eco-tourism site is maintained by ethnic minorities such as Ta Oi, Co Tu, Pa Co... living in the area. Tourism products here focus on exploiting Can Te natural stream, introducing to visitors the cultural identity, traditional products, and specialties of ethnic minorities. In addition, there are many interesting labor and production experience activities with local people.
Can Te Stream (Can Tehs local language) is a stream that still retains its wild beauty, bestowed by nature on A Luoi district. Taking advantage of the potential and advantages of this stream, the locality has paid attention to investing and developing it into eco-tourism spots to serve the community. Scooping fish with a net, also known as "Ta tua", is a daily activity of ethnic minorities in A Luoi. Since ancient times, aquatic resources have been exploited from rivers and streams to help people here maintain their lives. Some are also offerings used in important village ceremonies.
According to a survey, Can Te stream currently has up to 9 types of aquatic products living and developing, including (shrimp, stone crab, snails and many different types of fish).
Thanks to living in harmony with nature and knowing how to exploit natural resources properly, Can Te stream still retains its pristine beauty, bringing many values to the people.
Tourists enjoy watching and experiencing fish catching activities with locals on Can Te stream.

Weaving A La mats is a traditional craft of the Ta Oi ethnic group in A Luoi district, which is still preserved today. According to traditional customs, before going to their husband's house, Ta Oi ethnic girls must weave a mat like this to send to their husband's family. To have the fibers to weave the mats, the girls must go to the forest to pick each leaf of the prickly pandan (Ang chac) and bring it back, strip it and soften it before weaving. Weaving mats also requires the skill, diligence and creativity of the craftsman.

At Can Te 2 eco-tourism site, visitors can also visit the safe agricultural product model of the women's livelihood group in Huong Thinh village, Huong Phong commune (A Luoi district).

"Planting Ra Du rice" with the local people is also an interesting labor and production experience for tourists when visiting the Can Te 2 eco-tourism site. The activity of planting Ra Du rice shows the solidarity, attachment, and mutual support of the ethnic groups in A Luoi district.
According to the people, Ra Du rice is an ancient, rare rice variety of the Pa Co people, which has been preserved and conserved until now. The characteristics of the rice grains from Ra Du rice are large, sticky, red and white, with a very distinctive aroma that cannot be confused with any other type of rice. Ra Du rice is often reserved by people for important events.
"By interacting directly with the people through experiential activities, we had the opportunity to understand more about the traditional cultural characteristics of ethnic minorities in A Luoi district. Hopefully, in the near future, the activities here will be invested in more systematically and professionally. More domestic and foreign tourists will know about this interesting tourist destination," Ms. Cao Thi Khanh Chi (from Hue City) shared after experiencing Can Te 2 Ecotourism Site.
According to the Department of Culture and Information of A Luoi district, in the coming time, the locality will continue to focus on improving and developing service products and improving the skills of tourism staff at the Can Te 2 eco-tourism site. In addition, it will promote and introduce this destination to visitors from near and far. Through the destination, it is hoped to create jobs and increase income for local people, while contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional culture of ethnic minorities in A Luoi district.
