Accordingly, District 1 People's Committee proposed that Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approve the pilot organization of motorbike parking areas on part of the roadway of 3 branch routes: Mac Thi Buoi, Ngo Duc Ke and Hai Trieu.
Nguyen Hue Walking Street is where big events often take place, attracting a large number of people and tourists when coming to Ho Chi Minh City.
The motorbike parking area is located on a part of the road, at least 2m from the curb to leave a path for pedestrians. This is to meet the great demand of people when visiting Nguyen Hue walking street on weekends, events, holidays and Tet.
According to the proposed plan, the area for motorbike parking is located on Mac Thi Buoi street (from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue); the second route is Ngo Duc Ke street (section from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue and section from Nguyen Hue to Ho Tung Mau), the third route is Hai Trieu street (section from Nguyen Hue to Ho Tung Mau).
District 1 People's Committee proposed to allow parking on weekends and major event days (from 6pm to 11pm). The pilot period is from January 1, 2024 until the decision to establish a park management center is made. walking street District 1
The remaining three branches are not organized as parking lots to ensure fire prevention and rescue, including: Nguyen Thiep Street (section from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue), Huynh Thuc Khang Street (section from Nguyen Hue to Ho Tung Mau), Ton That Thiep Street (section from Nguyen Hue to Ho Tung Mau).
In addition, District 1 People's Committee also proposed that Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approve a pilot project for hotels, restaurants, and food establishments on Nguyen Hue Street to sell soft drinks and fast food on the sidewalk. The pilot period starts from December 15. Currently, there are 4 hotels and 24 food establishments on this street. When allowed to do business in this type, it will meet the needs of customers, especially during the 2024 New Year holiday.

According to the Project "Receiving, managing and exploiting the central area", Nguyen Hue Street is oriented to organize activities according to zones: In the area of President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, cultural and political activities will take place, and appropriate landscape organization will take place behind the President Ho Chi Minh Monument; the area between President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and adjacent to Ton Duc Thang Street will organize festivals, sports, art performances, advertising and entertainment activities. In addition, District 1 will organize a pedestrian bridge connecting the space of Nguyen Hue Street and Bach Dang Park to create landscape and reduce traffic congestion.
