Owning a card in this ecosystem, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hoai (45 years old) said she was impressed with the Mastercard Cashback card line.
“As the general manager of the whole family, I have to spend a lot on shopping at supermarkets, paying for my children's school fees, medical treatment, insurance... so I really need a card with high cashback discounts to offset some of my monthly expenses. And the SHB Mastercard Cashback card has done that,” Ms. Hoai shared.
Attractive gifts
Another highlight of SHB card is that the bank always offers many incentives and promotions. Depending on each stage, the number of gifts will be different, but in general, customers in the SHB "Card Family" ecosystem will always receive certain privileges to optimize benefits when using.
For example, from now until February 28, 2025, all international credit cardholders will receive a 50% discount on foreign currency transaction conversion fees with each incentive level applied to each card type including: Mastercard World not exceeding VND 5 million/card, Visa Platinum/Visa Platinum Star not exceeding VND 3 million/card and Mastercard Cashback/FCB not exceeding VND 2 million/card.
In particular, at the end of the program, 5 customers with the highest foreign currency spending for each card line according to the program's rules will be considered for awards and have the opportunity to own valuable gifts, including: 1 first prize is an iPhone 16 ProMax worth 37 million VND; 1 second prize is an iPad Apple Air 6 worth 24 million VND and 3 third prizes are Apple Watch Series 10 watches worth 13 million VND each.
During this period, customers who register to open a new SHB Visa Platinum/Visa Platinum Star card and generate a minimum spending turnover of VND 8 million or more will receive a refund of VND 1 million. Cardholders will also receive a refund of up to 5% (up to VND 600,000) from SHB if their total cumulative turnover for the weekend food and beverage sector (Saturday and Sunday) is VND 500,000/statement period, and will be exempted from 3-month installment fees or receive a 20% discount on 12-month installment fees at all payment points.
With SHB Mastercard credit cards (Casback and FCB), new cardholders who have a minimum spending turnover of 5 million VND will immediately receive 500,000 VND in cashback. Customers will also be exempted from 3-month installment fees or receive a 20% discount on 12-month installment fees at all payment points similar to other credit cards.
Notably, from 09:00 - 23:59 every Saturday, customers who shop online on Shopee and pay with SHB Mastercard international credit card will receive an E-voucher for a direct discount of 100,000 VND for orders from 600,000 VND.
In addition, customers who own a card in the SHB card family also receive incentives from Xanh SM, specifically an immediate discount of 40,000 VND for trips from 100,000 VND and an immediate discount of 20,000 VND for trips from 40,000 VND for Xanh Car Taxi/Xanh Car Luxury/Xanh Bike/Xanh Express trips.
SHB representative shared, “Customer understanding is clearly demonstrated through products that are “tailored” specifically for each customer group. That is also SHB’s strategy for developing card lines over time to best serve individual customers.”
“SHB card family” is the beginning of SHB's strategy to reposition international credit cards in a personalized direction, currently including 4 cards: SHB Visa Platinum, SHB Visa Platinum Star, SHB Mastercard Cashback and SHB Mastercard FCB. As of October 31, 2024, the number of newly issued cards increased by 55% compared to 2023. Transaction turnover of these card lines increased nearly 2 times.
