TPO - In the program "15-year Imprint of Vu A Dinh Award, honoring beautiful examples of the village", 18 collectives and 21 outstanding individuals in many fields who have contributed many practical and effective benefits to the people in mountainous and island areas were honored to receive the Vu A Dinh Award in 2024.

Attending the program were Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President, President of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund; Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Council of Young Pioneers; Mr. Le Huy Nam - Head of the Department of Education, Central Propaganda Department; journalist Nguyen Phan Khue - Member of the Central Council of Young Pioneers, Editor-in-Chief of TNTP&ND newspaper, Director of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Truong My Hoa said that over the past 25 years, the Scholarship Fund named after the young hero with great ambitions - Vu A Dinh has traveled to the mountains and seas to help the people of the mountainous areas, the navy and fishermen on the islands. Associated with the Fund, the awards are given to groups and individuals who have made many contributions to the development of the mountainous areas and islands.

Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund under the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was established in 1999. On the journey towards ethnic minority, mountainous and island areas, the Fund's activities have been increasingly developed in breadth and depth.
The Fund has granted annual scholarships and implemented many projects and issued the Vu A Dinh Award to individuals with outstanding achievements in the fields of study, scientific research, culture, arts, sports, community activities, etc.; as well as to groups with models and projects that bring practical and effective benefits to compatriots, localities, mountainous areas and islands.

According to the Organizing Committee, over the past 15 years, the Vu A Dinh Award has been presented to 118 groups and 210 individuals (from 44 ethnic groups) in many fields.
In particular, the education and training sector had the most collectives and individuals being recognized with 146 awards; 69 awards were given to collectives and individuals in the field of national defense and security; 48 awards were given in the field of Youth Union and youth movement; 37 awards were given to athletes. Of the 210 individuals receiving awards, 95 were women; there were 5 outstanding examples receiving awards 2 times or more.

At the program, the Organizing Committee honored collectives and individuals who have contributed to the development of ethnic minority communities; and awarded the Vu A Dinh Prize to 18 collectives and 21 outstanding individuals who have made many practical and effective contributions to people in mountainous and island areas.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers highly appreciated that over the past 25 years, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has mobilized organizations and individuals to carry out projects and in-depth activities on human training; building schools and educational facilities to contribute to training human resources in remote, border and island areas.
At the same time, Ms. Trang congratulated the results of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the Vu A Dinh Award; commended the efforts and achievements of the groups and individuals awarded the Vu A Dinh Award.
