The stock market on November 23 traded rather sluggishly in the morning session. However, the two groups of securities and real estate stocks still maintained green after the strong increase the day before. However, in just the last few minutes of the ATC session, a massive supply was pushed into the market, causing nearly 40 stocks on the HOSE to hit the floor, mainly in the two above-mentioned industry groups.
Specifically, many real estate - construction stocks decreased dramatically such as: HDC, NLG, PDR, SZC, DXG, CTD, DIG, QCG, TCH. In addition, many codes decreased near the floor: KBC decreased by 6.17%, CII decreased by 5.62%, HHV decreased by 6.41%, VCG decreased by 6.67%...
Similarly, in the securities group, many stocks: VIX, VCI, FTS, BSI, AGR, CTS all hit the floor; VND decreased by 5.94%, SSI decreased by 6.08%, HCM decreased by 5.61%...
Banking stocks also fell sharply: EIB fell 3.66%, STB fell 3.09%, HDB fell 2.96%, LPB fell 2.91%, ACB fell 2.2%, CTG fell 1.35%, VCB fell 1.38%, VPB fell 2.54%... contributing to the sharp decline in VN-Index.
Not only the main industry groups, the manufacturing group also had GEX, NKG, HSG, BMP hit the floor; HPG decreased by 4.96%, MSN decreased by 2.47%, SAB decreased by 4.88%, GVR decreased by 4.22%, DGC decreased by 3.43%, DCM decreased by 3.7%, DPM decreased by 3.13%...
At the end of the trading session, VN-Index decreased by 25.33 points (2.27%) to 1,088.49 points with 397 stocks increasing, 109 stocks decreasing and 79 stocks remaining unchanged. At the end of the session on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, HNX-Index also decreased by 5.95% points (2.58%) to 224.54 points with 107 stocks increasing, 60 stocks decreasing and 58 stocks remaining unchanged. The massive supply at the end of the session caused liquidity to increase sharply. The total transaction value in the whole market was nearly VND24,100 billion, of which the HOSE floor accounted for nearly VND21,000 billion.
Foreign investors continued to sell nearly 443 billion VND on the HOSE floor.
