Ensuring occupational safety and hygiene in the enterprise

Cellmech International Vina Co., Ltd., Khai Quang Industrial Park (Vinh Yen) has been operating since 2009 with 100% Korean investment capital, specializing in manufacturing and processing car seat covers. Currently, the company provides jobs for nearly 500 workers with an income of 9 - 10 million VND/person/month.

To build a safe and friendly working environment, every year, the company develops and issues plans, regulations, processes, and measures to ensure occupational safety and health, regularly disseminates to employees regulations and rules on occupational safety and health, dangerous and toxic factors that can cause work accidents, occupational diseases, and preventive measures...

Along with that, the company has invested in a system of modern machinery and equipment; 100% of workers are fully equipped with protective clothing and equipment. The working area is arranged appropriately and scientifically, with emergency exits and clear walkways, with signs and warnings between production teams and production lines.

To improve working conditions and environment for employees, the company has installed an air-conditioning cooling system, enhanced the heat-resistant system, improved the exhaust system, renovated and upgraded the restroom area, etc.

Annually, the company coordinates with relevant agencies to inspect refrigeration systems, oil separators, compressed air tanks, elevators, forklifts; organizes training, equips employees with knowledge of occupational safety and health, first aid and handling of fire and explosion incidents. Coordinates with medical facilities to organize periodic health check-ups and consultations for employees once a year.

As a garment manufacturing company with more than 2,000 workers, FWKK Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Lap Thach) always cares about the material and spiritual life and ensures occupational safety and health for employees.

Every year, the company conducts monitoring of the working environment, ensuring that light, temperature, air and other indicators are in accordance with standards; conducts fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue drills every 6 months; fire prevention and fighting systems and equipment such as fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, exit lights, fire hydrants, fire pumps... and equipment for the fire prevention and rescue team are always periodically inspected to ensure good operation, while the escape routes are in accordance with Vietnamese regulations and standards.

The company has issued regulations on fire prevention and fighting and rescue, posted/hung in all workshops and areas, ensuring dissemination to all workers. Thanks to that, for many years, FWKK Vietnam Co., Ltd. has achieved the title of "Typical Enterprise for Employees".

To ensure safety in production labor, every year, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) develops plans and directs grassroots trade union organizations to coordinate with authorities, professional agencies, and workers to promote the implementation of OSH.

During the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health (May), Trade Unions at all levels in the province coordinated with enterprises to organize propaganda and training on occupational safety and health skills for thousands of workers; increased regular and surprise inspections at units and guided enterprises to self-check, detect and overcome shortcomings...

With the drastic participation of all levels, functional sectors and enterprises in ensuring occupational safety and health, the number of occupational accidents in recent years has decreased significantly. In 2024, the whole province had 34 occupational accidents, a decrease of 26 cases compared to 2023.

In the coming time, all levels and sectors in the province will continue to promote propaganda, raise awareness and responsibility for implementing occupational safety and health of enterprises and employees in the production and business process.

Encourage businesses to increase investment in safety equipment, improve working conditions, guide businesses and production facilities to self-check and overcome limitations and shortcomings in occupational safety and health, fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue.

Strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of legal regulations on occupational safety and health - fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue at enterprises, production and business establishments, and strictly handle violations.
