In recent times, local authorities at all levels have closely coordinated with functional agencies to synchronously deploy solutions on food safety and hygiene, contributing to raising awareness, sense of responsibility and role of production and business establishments.
Quan Lich rice noodle production facility, zone 18, Hoang Xa commune, Thanh Thuy district implements food safety and hygiene procedures.
The province currently has nearly 10,000 food production, processing and trading establishments under the management of the health sector, most of which are small-scale establishments. Since the beginning of the year, authorities at all levels and specialized agencies from the province to the district have launched many peak periods, launching communication campaigns to comply with legal regulations on food safety (FS) in food production and trading; organizing interdisciplinary inspection teams to inspect food service establishments, restaurants, hotels, collective kitchens in industrial parks, schools, etc.
In the first 6 months of 2024, the province organized 479 food safety inspection and post-inspection teams, including 3 provincial teams, 26 district teams and 450 commune teams. The teams inspected and post-inspected over 3,200 food production and trading establishments...

Phu Tho town is the capital of traditional cakes, processed foods and soft drinks, therefore, ensuring food safety is always a concern of the town authorities. In the town, there are currently about 325 establishments producing, trading and processing food, including 121 production and processing establishments, 105 food service establishments, and nearly 100 business establishments.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Lan Huong - Deputy Head of the Economic Department of Phu Tho town said: "Through propaganda activities, production and business establishments have basically complied with all regulations in business and have certificates of food safety eligibility. Every year, we sign a commitment with each household to comply with regulations in food production, processing and trading".
With the active participation of authorities at all levels, the awareness of compliance with food safety laws of food production and trading establishments has been increasingly raised. Many production and trading establishments have proactively invested in modern and synchronous facilities, ensuring a business environment and not violating food safety regulations.
Visiting the Quan Lich rice noodle production facility in Zone 18, Hoang Xa Commune, Thanh Thuy District with a spacious and well-equipped production area, we were told by Mr. Le Huy Quan - Owner of the production facility: “With the nature of noodle production, which has to go through many stages, ensuring food safety during production is important. My family has divided each production area into separate areas, drying, packaging... ensuring a clean, airy space, avoiding mold. From there, the quality of the product has been improved.”
Identifying food safety as an important task, in the coming time, functional sectors in the province will continue to promote propaganda work, raise awareness and clarify the responsibilities of food producers and traders according to the provisions of law; guide business owners to implement regulations on hygiene of facilities, equipment, tools, and practice personal hygiene when producing, processing, trading, and preserving food; continue to strictly implement standards on disease safety in production, preliminary processing, processing, and use of raw materials with clear origin; use permitted food additives to support the correct dosage and use for the right subjects according to regulations in food production and processing. At the same time, it is recommended that consumers choose to buy food, especially processed foods, at reputable production and trading establishments, ensuring quality, contributing to protecting the rights and health of consumers.
