(CLO) On October 27, in Hanoi, Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in collaboration with Voice of Indonesia (VOI) organized a seminar "Connecting Vietnam with the world".
Also at the discussion, journalist Pho Cam Hoa, Head of the Foreign Affairs Department (VOV5), said that the Indonesian program is one of the 13 current languages of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Voice of Vietnam, and has contributed significantly to spreading foreign affairs information to Indonesian friends around the world.
According to Ms. Pho Cam Hoa, the coming year 2025 will not only mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnam - Indonesia relations but also the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Voice of Vietnam. VOV is expected to launch an ebook on this occasion, including an introduction to the history of Indonesian radio programs on VOV waves from 1966 to the present.

Within the framework of a series of activities towards the 70th anniversary of Vietnam - Indonesia diplomatic relations, this seminar is one of the highlight activities in the cooperation between the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in general and the Foreign Affairs Department in particular with the National Radio of Indonesia (VOI).
The seminar gave the audience an overview of the friendly relationship between the two countries since 1955, based on the similarities and unique characteristics in the culture and history of the two countries, which were founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Sukarno, as well as the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the future; especially in the economic field.
After nearly 70 years of establishing relations, the total trade turnover between Indonesia and Vietnam reached an impressive 13.8 billion USD in 2023. With a combined population of 370 million, the two countries still have great potential to enhance bilateral economic and trade cooperation, aiming for a new trade target of 18 billion USD in 2028.
In addition to the economic field, the speakers also enthusiastically spoke and discussed the outstanding achievements in the Vietnam - Indonesia relationship in the fields of politics, culture and society; thereby exchanging ideas, experiences and proposing solutions to develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in the coming time.
In addition, the talk show is also an opportunity for Indonesian audiences who have lived in Vietnam for many years to share interesting stories about their lives in Vietnam.
