Vietnamese Ambassador meets with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece

Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong greeted General Secretary of the Greek Communist Party Koutsoumpas Dimitrios.

On March 21, in Athens, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong visited the General Secretary of the Greek Communist Party, Mr. Koutsoumpas Dimitrios.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the role of the Communist Party of Greece and General Secretary Koutsoumpas Dimitrios in Greece's political life and expressed his gratitude for the good feelings for the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people, wishing the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of Greece great success.

At the meeting, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong informed about Vietnam's socio-economic development situation and the goals set by the Party and State for the new development period, the era of national growth as well as important events of Vietnam in 2025, including Party congresses at all levels, preparing for the 14th National Party Congress.

The Ambassador also informed about the relationship between the two countries and the activities expected to be carried out on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, including connecting the two countries such as inviting the leaders of the Greek Parliament to visit Vietnam; translating and launching the book President Ho Chi Minh's Testament in Greek; a film week about Vietnam; reception activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations; combining the organization of Vietnam's National Day with the Vietnam Food Festival, a seminar connecting businesses of the two countries...

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece Koutsoumpas Dimitrios received Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong.

The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece welcomed the new Vietnamese Ambassador to his post and wished him a successful term, continuing to promote the development of relations between the two countries and the two Parties.

Mr. Koutsoumpas said that the Greek Communist Party continues to gain support from the Greek people, with an increasing number of young members; the voter support rate in recent opinion polls has increased in the context of a decline in voter support for other political parties.

The Communist Party of Greece is currently the fourth largest party in Greece with 21 seats in the Greek Parliament and 2 seats in the European Parliament. In 2025, the Communist Party of Greece will hold its 22nd Congress.

General Secretary Koutsoumpas Dimitrios wished the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam success and sent greetings and congratulations to General Secretary To Lam and members of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
