Emulation Congress of Quang Tri Provincial Armed Forces for Victory in 2019

This afternoon, July 12, the provincial armed forces organized the Emulation Congress for Victory (TĐQT) for the period 2019 - 2024. Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4, Major General Phan Van Sy; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee attended.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang affirmed that over the past 5 years, the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command have always promoted the responsibility of leading and directing the international solidarity movement in the armed forces.

With the spirit of "Everyone competes, every sector competes, every day competes", the emulation movement of the provincial armed forces has been closely linked with the local patriotic emulation movement, aiming at promoting socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security, building an increasingly solid provincial defense zone and achieving practical results.

The emulation movement has truly spread strongly and achieved practical results, motivating all organizations, units and individual officers and soldiers to strive to compete and complete their tasks.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang emphasized that the patriotic emulation congress of the provincial armed forces for the period 2019 - 2024 is an important milestone, affirming the new development of the patriotic emulation movement in particular and patriotic emulation in general in the provincial armed forces.

I hope that organizations, units, and individual officers and soldiers will continue to uphold their determination, proactively overcome all difficulties, achieve many achievements, contribute to building the province's armed forces to be increasingly strong, excellently complete all assigned tasks, worthy of the tradition of the heroic unit.

In the period of 2019 - 2024, the emulation movement of the provincial armed forces has many innovations, comprehensive development, and achieved solid results. The provincial armed forces always excellently completed the set goals and emulation targets.

From 2019 to 2024, agencies and units have launched 26 regular emulation campaigns, 15 peak emulation campaigns and surprise emulation campaigns. Agencies and units actively linked the emulation movement with the movements: "Provincial armed forces join hands to build new rural areas", "Provincial armed forces join hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", "Officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces compete to practice office culture, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers", "Provincial armed forces participate in developing synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste"...

The TĐQT movement has truly become a great driving force, contributing to improving the overall quality and combat strength of the provincial armed forces, contributing to socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security.

In particular, through the movement, more and more typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the provincial armed forces have appeared. With the achievements and results, 689 collectives and 6,170 individuals have been awarded at all levels. For many consecutive years, the Provincial Military Command has been awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Ministry of National Defense, the Military Region 4 Command and the Provincial People's Committee.

Promoting the achieved results, in the period of 2024 - 2029, the provincial armed forces continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions and directives of the superiors on emulation and commendation work and the movement of self-improvement; promote the results of the emulation and commendation movement of the provincial armed forces in the period of 2019 - 2024; actively innovate the content and form of emulation and commendation work and the movement of self-improvement...

Along with that, the important task is to focus on building political mettle for soldiers; improving the overall quality, level, and combat readiness of the provincial armed forces; successfully implementing breakthroughs, contributing to comprehensive and solid changes in all aspects of work... The provincial armed forces will continue to focus on building many exemplary collectives and individuals as the core and driving force in the patriotic movement in the coming time.

Speaking at the congress, Major General Phan Van Sy, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 4, acknowledged and commended the achievements in the international solidarity movement of the Quang Tri armed forces. With determination and great efforts, the provincial armed forces have overcome all difficulties and challenges, competed enthusiastically, constantly innovated movement activities, and successfully completed the assigned tasks.

In the new term, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4 Phan Van Sy requested the provincial armed forces to continue to deeply engrave the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh and the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; and to do well in emulation and reward work.

Regularly pay attention to educational work, especially revolutionary tradition education; maximize the effectiveness of organizational work; select new, difficult, and breakthrough emulation content, creating a basis for finding many creative and effective ways of doing things... Believe that in the period of 2024 - 2029, the international emulation movement of the provincial armed forces will have new steps forward, reaping many more encouraging results.

At the congress, 20 typical advanced collectives and 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in the international youth movement in the period 2019 - 2024 were honored and rewarded.
