Da Nang: Bright Tet flowers on the streets, stable prices

According to records, along routes such as Nguyen Sinh Sac, Hoang Thi Loan, Nguyen Dinh Tuu, Nguyen Hong Anh (Da Nang City), many traders are busy transporting Tet flowers and kumquat trees for sale.

Large flower gardens continuously arrive by truck from all over, making the spring atmosphere of At Ty in Da Nang even more bustling.

This year, Tet flowers on the streets are diverse, with beautiful buds blooming. Many traders said that flower prices are stable this year because the weather at the end of the year is quite favorable, and the flowers are more beautiful than usual.

Trader Vo Hong Phuc (44 years old) said: “This year I brought back the main flowers such as daisies, raspberry daisies, pots of four-season plants and Da Lat orchids. Although the price of imported flowers from the garden has increased slightly, I still keep the price the same as previous years.

The weather at the end of the year has light rain and is cool, so this year's flowers have many buds, bloom evenly and are more beautiful than last year.

Small flower pots such as gerberas, daffodils, and peonies cost about 35,000 VND/pot. Yellow and red raspberry daisies cost between 150,000 and 200,000 VND/pot. Roses cost 250,000 VND/pot.

Having just unloaded more than 50 kumquat pots from the truck, Mr. Dinh Minh Hoa said that this year the kumquats have more fruits and are more beautiful than previous years. Depending on the size and shape, the price of kumquats also varies, but most are priced under 10 million VND/pot.

As for orchids, according to Ms. Pham Tran Quynh Huong (owner of Huong Phat Loc orchid garden), the price of flowers this year has not changed much compared to previous years.

Specifically, the price of Phalaenopsis orchids ranges from 200,000 - 250,000 VND/pot, cymbidium orchids 150,000 VND/branch, orchids 300,000 VND/pot, and dancing lady orchids 270,000 VND/pot.

According to traders, up to now, yellow raspberry chrysanthemum is the most popular and best-selling flower because it is affordable and easy to decorate.

In particular, chrysanthemums can be displayed through the end of January. In addition, primroses are also of interest to many customers.
