Cinema Gala Pride of a Country

(LĐ online) - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, on the evening of April 10, at the Cultural House of Ta Hine Commune (Duc Trong District), Lam Dong Film Distribution and Screening Center organized a Film Gala with the theme Pride of a Country.

Attending were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Lam Dong Film Distribution and Screening Center, representatives of Duc Trong district leaders, leaders of Ta Hine commune, and people in the commune.

In her opening speech, Ms. Vu Thi Le Huyen - Director of Lam Dong Film Distribution and Cinema Center affirmed: Half a century has passed, since the day the country was reunited, the North and the South reunited, our country has achieved great achievements in all fields. From a country heavily devastated by war, Vietnam has risen to affirm its increasingly high position in the international arena. The development achievements are a strong testament to the strength of solidarity, self-reliance, and aspiration of our nation.

Accompanying the heroic pages of history, Vietnamese revolutionary cinema has realistically and vividly reflected the struggle to protect the Fatherland and the cause of building and developing the country.

Over the past 49 years, Lam Dong Cinema has brought beneficial spiritual food to people of all walks of life through selected cinema works, contributing to narrowing the gap in cinema enjoyment and improving the spiritual life of people in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

Performance at the Gala Night

The film festival is an opportunity to bring cinema to the grassroots, so that the ethnic people of Ta Hine commune can look back at the heroic history of the nation through classic films of Vietnamese cinema; consider it a motivation to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, unite, and build a prosperous and happy life.

The gala opened many exciting activities such as: Cinema quiz and film screening to serve the people; Photo exhibition with the theme "Cinema with the country"; art performances, gong performances.

In particular, during 7 days from April 11 to 17, the Vietnamese Film Week will take place to serve the remote communes, remote areas, and ethnic minority areas of Duc Trong district. In which, the film "Dao, Pho and Piano" is considered a "phenomenon" of Vietnamese cinema in 2024 and will open the Film Week.
