Preparing to start construction and inaugurate projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Truc Son concluded the meeting.

To organize activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country and the province, the People's Committee of Ben Tre province has developed a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Ben Tre province (May 1, 1975 - May 1, 2025); the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025); and the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Award of Ben Tre province. In particular, the province plans to start and inaugurate works and projects of great economic, political, cultural and social significance to the province.

Reporting to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Project Management Boards said that up to now, the preparation work for the groundbreaking and inauguration of the projects is being urgently carried out.

In particular, the preparation for the inauguration of Ben Tre Traditional Medicine Hospital (phase 2) has been completed, ready for the inauguration ceremony on April 17. The preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bung Lac Dia Historical - Cultural - Revolutionary Relic Site Project is urgently preparing the ceremony ground, stage space, etc. according to plan; the list of invited delegates has been sent to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.

Preparations for the launching ceremony of the project to restore and embellish the architectural and artistic relic of Phu Le communal house and to preserve and promote the historical value of the Ho Chi Minh trail at sea (phase 2); the inauguration ceremony of the project to upgrade and reinforce the Tam Hiep islet dike against landslides; and the access road to Rach Mieu 2 bridge are being urgently implemented, ensuring progress.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also reported on the general progress of the series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

In his concluding remarks, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son requested the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to finalize the plan for organizing the inauguration of the project sent by the Board to the Provincial People's Committee; at the same time, send the plan to relevant localities and departments for coordination in implementation.

Including carefully preparing the guest list, ribbon cutting ceremony, speeches by provincial leaders... Coordinating with the Provincial People's Committee Office to organize the reception of guests, especially guests who are former provincial leaders.

The Provincial Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works; the Provincial Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Works carefully prepare for the groundbreaking and inauguration events of the works under the Board's management; focusing on welcoming guests, sanitation, security and order, etc.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to review the list of activities to celebrate major holidays of the province, especially the launching and inauguration of important projects to have careful preparation.
