Accordingly, at 11:45 a.m. on December 12, the Gianh Port Border Guard Station, Quang Binh Border Guard received information that fishing boat QB 98733 TS captained by Mr. Hoang Minh, residing in Quang Loc commune, Ba Don town, was having an accident at sea.

This fishing boat departed from Gianh estuary. When it reached buoy number 3, about 1.5 nautical miles from Gianh estuary, it encountered an accident and was sunk by waves. 14 crew members were swimming in the middle of the sea and needed assistance.

The unit reported to the Command and mobilized two fishing boats to rescue, but the waves were big and difficult to approach.

At 1:00 p.m. the same day, ship QB 98160 TS captained by Nguyen Van Dung, residing in Quang Loc commune, Ba Don town, approached and rescued 10 crew members.

The Provincial Border Guard Command mobilized the MS boat of Border Guard Squadron 2 and 10 officers to approach and rescue 4 crew members.

It is known that the health of the crew members is stable, one person was injured in the arm and was given first aid by the military medic and then transferred to the hospital. The ship owner is estimated to have suffered about 4 billion VND in damage.
