The sharp dental needle was removed.
Previously, while undergoing endodontic treatment at a local medical facility, T. swallowed a needle (dental instrument) into his digestive tract and was transferred to the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi for treatment.
Immediately upon admission, the hospital's Emergency, Diagnostic Imaging, Functional Testing - Endoscopy, Anesthesia - Resuscitation departments coordinated endoscopy and anesthesia to remove the foreign object in baby T's digestive tract.
The endoscopy was performed carefully and skillfully by the doctors to avoid pushing the foreign object further down. The doctors then removed the foreign object, a sharp-tipped dental needle, about 2.5 cm in size.
Currently, T.'s health condition is stable, he is receiving IV fluids and continues to be monitored.
