Traffic police not only regulate traffic during morning and afternoon rush hours, but these days, rush hours also occur during lunchtime. Lieutenant Colonel Dang Hong Giang, Captain of Traffic Police Team No. 3, said that on normal days, Ring Road 2 already has a high traffic density, sometimes even overloaded with vehicles. However, on days close to Tet, when people's travel, commuting, and shopping needs increase, the traffic density on this route is even greater, many times higher than normal. Therefore, the Unit has developed plans early, coordinating with other forces to regulate traffic hotspots.

From December 15, 2024, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police has implemented a peak plan to ensure traffic order and safety before, during and after the Lunar New Year. Traffic police will be mobilized to the maximum, focusing on traffic flow and regulation to prevent congestion.
