Cuba - Ho Chi Minh City promote cooperation in construction field

On the afternoon of September 29, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong received Cuban Minister of Construction Rene Antonio Mesa Villafan during his visit and work in the city.

According to the Cuban Minister of Construction, the visit and work in Ho Chi Minh City has completed the set goals. The ministry's delegation worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Construction and Building Materials Association and construction enterprises in the city to seek cooperation opportunities between the two sides.

In November 2023, it is expected that 8 enterprises from Ho Chi Minh City will attend the La Habana International Fair (the largest fair in Central America and the Caribbean). Cuba also plans to organize a forum on construction and building materials and invite Ho Chi Minh City to attend.

At this event, Cuban enterprises will connect directly with partners in Ho Chi Minh City. This is an opportunity for businesses from both sides to exchange and cooperate in the construction sector... The Cuban Minister of Construction affirmed that Cuban construction enterprises wish to participate in the construction market in Ho Chi Minh City; ready to provide high-quality human resources to support Ho Chi Minh City in developing the construction and urban sectors.

Pleased to see the special cooperation between the two countries growing better and better, comrade Bui Xuan Cuong said that Ho Chi Minh City is very impressed with the development of transportation and urban areas in Cuba; and is ready to promote cooperation with Cuba in the field of construction and urban development.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City proposed that the Cuban Minister of Construction support and promote cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Cuban localities in areas of mutual interest and potential for cooperation, bringing practical benefits to the two countries, contributing to fostering and strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
