The Indian-American community has congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the November 5 presidential election, expressing optimism about the potential benefits for the economy, border security and global peace.

This victory marks an impressive comeback for Mr. Donald Trump, after losing to President Joe Biden in the 2020 re-election campaign.
Mr. Avinash Gupta, President of the Overseas Indians Association, believes that the good relationship between newly elected US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will help further strengthen the India-US relationship.
According to Mr. Gupta, Indian-American voters are deeply concerned about local factors such as inflation, open borders and ongoing conflicts globally.
Besides, Mr. Alok Kumar, President of Bihar USA East Coast Foundation, emphasized that as the oldest and largest democracies in the world, the US and India share a bond rooted in common values and a common commitment to global peace.
"President Trump and Prime Minister Modi both emphasized on ending global conflicts and promoting harmony. I am confident that the new administration in the US will continue to maintain this vision," Mr. Kumar affirmed.
According to Mr Kumar, the strong personal relationship between the two leaders has been evidenced by landmark visits such as Mr Trump's trip to Gujarat and the "Howdy Modi" event in Texas.
Through that, Mr. Kumar believes that the new US administration will further strengthen the strategic, economic and cultural partnerships between New Delhi and Washington, bringing benefits to both countries and promoting a peaceful and prosperous world.
