(Dan Tri) - After more than 30 minutes of working with the restaurant owner accused of "ripping off" Chinese tourists, including 2 portions of grilled eggplant with scallion oil for nearly 4 million VND in Nha Trang, the police invited this person to the headquarters for questioning.

On the morning of February 5, a working group from Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, including two police officers and a market management officer, went to Aroma Beach restaurant to work with Mr. T., the restaurant owner, to verify information about the restaurant being accused of "ripping off" Chinese tourists.

After more than 30 minutes of discussion, the inspection team left the restaurant. Mr. T. locked the door and went with two police officers to the headquarters to continue working.

Mr. T. confirmed that he had negotiated carefully with the group of customers, about 20 people, before letting the kitchen prepare the dish. He said that the group of customers agreed that "money was not an issue".

The restaurant owner said that despite having agreed in advance, when they saw the bill, the group still refused to pay. After some negotiation, the group only had to pay more than 12 million VND instead of more than 20 million VND as the bill shared online.

Dan Tri reporter noted that Aroma Beach restaurant is located on the ground floor of a 4-storey house on Nguyen Thien Thuat street, Nha Trang city center.

After being accused of "overcharging", many of the restaurant's signs were taken down. Some information on the sign shows that this is a restaurant specializing in serving Chinese customers with a variety of dishes and a promotion of "Free unlimited draft beer".
