That is the clinic named “Kumoho Asia Aesthetic Clinic”, located at 402 An Duong Vuong, Ward 4, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
On the afternoon of May 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that the department's special task force discovered that the clinic had advertised on Facebook in violation of regulations.
Here, this facility posted medical examination and treatment advertising clips without having the advertising content verified according to legal regulations, and at the same time, the advertising content used the words "top class..." without legal documents to prove it according to regulations.
Also at this clinic, the Department Inspectorate previously received information from people reflecting on "liposuction and fat grafting surgery in the buttocks at Kumho Asia Beauty Center, then suffered complications from an abscess and had to be hospitalized for long-term treatment at a hospital" and is being verified to clarify for strict handling (if violations are found).
In addition to illegal advertising, this facility also committed a more serious violation by using unlicensed practitioners to perform the technique, causing complications.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health added that this cosmetic clinic has a business registration certificate issued by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Investment, and a license to operate a cosmetic medical examination and treatment facility issued by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to Dr. NMT.
The Department of Health recommends that all hospitals in the city, when receiving patients with signs and medical history of suspected complications related to techniques and surgeries transferred from other facilities, must immediately inform the Department of Health Inspectorate for handling according to regulations.
Be wary of ads on social platforms
The Department of Health calls on people to be highly vigilant against advertising information on social platforms.
When detecting illegal, false advertisements, signs of forgery and fraud in the medical field, people can call the hotline at 0989.401.155 or upload information to the "Online Health" application so that the Department of Health Inspectorate can promptly grasp information, prevent and handle violations in accordance with the law to protect the rights and health of the people.
