Da Nang Club may return to V-League 2024/2025

Da Nang Club really has many quality domestic players to compete very well in the First Division arena. V-League 2023 has 14 teams and the bottom team will be relegated, but even if they are relegated, they will still be the strongest team in the First Division ," coach Pham Minh Duc shared.

Da Nang FC was relegated after the end of this season. In the final round, they defeated Khanh Hoa 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick by Lucao. However, that result was meaningless when the match between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong ended in a draw. These are two teams competing for a place in the relegation zone with Da Nang and have the advantage of being 3 points ahead of the Han River team before the final round.

" Many people think that we made things difficult for ourselves by not winning against SLNA at home. In fact, we played badly in that match, but the 0-1 loss to TP.HCM at Thong Nhat Stadium was the turning point that led to today's result. We played very badly in that match, because if we had won points against TP.HCM, everything would have been different ," said Mr. Pham Minh Duc.

Therefore, I told my players to play a great match to dedicate to the audience the last match while still in the V-League and not to care about the match between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, because I had to accept it because I could no longer decide for myself, " the 47-year-old coach added.

During about 2 decades of association with V-League, Da Nang Club won two championships in 2009 and 2012, in addition to the 2009 National Cup and 2012 Super Cup titles.
