Boosting the Party's "youthful vitality".

For many years, Pham Xuyen Giang (Class 12/1, Nguyen Hien High School - Duy Xuyen) has been an outstanding student, always actively participating in volunteer activities of the Youth Union, achieving many high achievements in academics and training, and is loved by teachers and friends.

Through a process of training and testing, Giang gradually demonstrated the qualities of a young Party member: capable, enthusiastic, and ambitious. On May 19, 2024, Pham Xuyen Giang was admitted to the Party.

“For me, joining the Party while still in school is not only an honor and source of pride for myself but also for my family. This is a crucial turning point in my life, a motivation for me to continue striving, working hard, studying, contributing to building my homeland, and proving myself worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam ,” Giang shared.

The Party cell of Nguyen Hien High School currently has 24 members, including 21 full members and 3 probationary members. Over the past period, along with improving the quality of education , the school's Party cell has paid special attention to developing a pool of potential members, prioritizing quality over quantity, ensuring the necessary conditions and meeting the required standards.

According to Mr. Ho Van Ti, Deputy Principal of Nguyen Hien High School, the Party branch integrates the dissemination of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought among students, teachers, and staff through diverse and engaging content and forms during flag-raising ceremonies.

In addition, social science subjects are integrated into regular school lessons; extracurricular activities include organizing competitions to learn about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; learning about the history of the local Party committee; and activities related to visiting historical sites.

Not only Nguyen Hien High School, but other high schools in Duy Xuyen district have also consistently focused on nurturing and training the younger generation, creating a pool of potential Party members. From 2020 to the present, four high schools in the district have sent 53 outstanding students to attend Party awareness and training courses, resulting in the admission of 9 student Party members.

The Duy Xuyen District Party Committee currently has 64 grassroots party organizations, including 14 commune/township party committees, 4 agency party committees, and 46 subordinate party branches. In 2024, the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee admitted 91 new party members (including 7 new student members), achieving 130% of the set target, bringing the total number to 4,275 party members. The quality of the new party members has improved in terms of education, professional expertise, and political theory.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Manh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee, said that all Party branches have identified the task of developing Party members as an important task in building and developing the Party organization.

Accordingly, the Party branch meetings all planned to create a source for developing Party members, especially organizing thematic activities on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style in building a team of cadres and Party members who are truly pioneering, exemplary, possess pure revolutionary ethics, firm political acumen, and sufficient capacity to meet current task requirements."

"Party branches in schools always focus on training students by assigning tasks and creating opportunities for them to demonstrate their abilities in youth union work, collective activities, and social skills, while also fostering ideals and aspirations, helping students set goals to strive for."

Meanwhile, the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee uses the results of Party development among high school students as a criterion for evaluating and ranking Party organizations in schools and collectives, leaders, and managers, especially the heads of Party committees at all levels…” - Mr. Manh said.

Improve quality

Over the past period, the Standing Committee of the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee has regularly disseminated regulations and guidelines from the Central Committee and the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee on Party building work, especially the task of developing Party members, to grassroots Party organizations.

Develop resolutions, programs, plans, and set specific targets for admitting new party members right from the beginning of the year; thoroughly identify potential candidates such as soldiers who have completed their military service, students, teachers, etc.

At the same time, strengthen awareness-raising through political activities to guide young people to strive to join the Party.

Building a team of cadres and Party members, especially leaders, who are truly pioneering, exemplary, possess sufficient qualities, capabilities, and prestige, are commensurate with their responsibilities, and successfully fulfill their assigned tasks. This will create a positive influence and impact on the masses, contributing to improving the quality of Party member development.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Manh added that Party committees at all levels also assign official Party members and mass organizations to cultivate and educate the masses on ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle in order to create a source for recruiting Party members annually and throughout the term.

Monthly reviews and assessments of implementation results are conducted, and difficulties and obstacles are promptly addressed. Meanwhile, associations and organizations are innovating their methods of operation, creating conditions for outstanding individuals to participate in socio-political organizations to develop their abilities, thereby identifying positive, accomplished, and exemplary individuals for Party membership training.

“The Duy Xuyen District Party Committee has directed its subordinate Party branches and committees not to prioritize quantity over quality; they must strictly adhere to the process from sourcing, propaganda, education, selection, training, and support to the point of admission and becoming official Party members. Party development work is closely linked to political and professional tasks, mass movements, and increased inspection and supervision of sourcing and developing Party members. As a result, the quality of new Party members has significantly improved,” Mr. Manh shared.

In 2024, the Thang Binh District Party Committee had 240 Party members who received the Party Badge.

The Party Committee of Binh Tu commune (Thang Binh district) recently held a ceremony to present Party membership badges to three Party members. Among them, one received a 50-year Party membership badge, and two received 40-year Party membership badges.

Along with the Party Committee of Binh Tu commune, in 2024, the Party Committee of Thang Binh district had 240 Party members who were honored to receive Party Badges. Among them, 2 Party members received the 75-year Party Membership Badge, 1 Party member received the 70-year Party Membership Badge, 5 Party members received the 65-year Party Membership Badge, and 9 Party members received the 60-year Party Membership Badge.

These are outstanding party members who consistently uphold their roles and responsibilities in party work and local development activities. Receiving the Party Badge is both an honor for the party members and a source of pride for the party committees and branches under the Thang Binh District Party Committee.

Dong Giang admitted 46 outstanding Youth Union members into the Party.

The Dong Giang District Youth Union recently held a conference to summarize its work and youth movement activities in 2024 and to outline directions and tasks for 2025.

In 2024, youth union branches at all levels in the district effectively implemented action programs; propaganda and education work among union members and young people was enhanced; volunteer movements were promoted and achieved positive results. In 2024, the youth of Dong Giang supported the construction of one new charitable house and one Red Scarf house; repaired one house; repaired and constructed one rural road; supported the installation of 25 solar-powered streetlights...

The youth union's movements have gradually focused on depth and specific areas; many concrete models, projects, and tasks with practical significance have emerged; and the work of disseminating information and mobilizing union members, young people, and the public to participate in crime prevention and maintaining security and order in residential areas has been carried out effectively, especially in promoting compliance with traffic safety laws, refraining from drinking alcohol while driving; and saying no to gambling, illegal lending, drugs, and e-cigarettes... In particular, the work of developing Party members has always been given priority, with 46 outstanding union members being recommended and admitted into the Party this year.
