Accordingly, 24 contestants participating in the contest were divided into 2 groups A and B to present the presentations submitted in the preliminary round (no more than 10 minutes) and answer 1-2 questions from the Jury based on the topic of the contestant's presentation or general knowledge about tourism in Ben Tre province. The scoring criteria are based on the content of the presentation (6 points), presentation style (4 points), illustration for the contest (3 points), reasonable layout (2 points), on time (1 point) and answering questions (4 points).
The 2023 Ben Tre Province Tour Guide Contest organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to improve the knowledge and professional qualifications of the tour guide team; create opportunities and conditions for tour guides to meet, exchange, learn, and share knowledge, experience and skills in explaining and guiding among tour guides inside and outside the province.
Thereby attracting attention and learning about relics; tourist areas and spots; entertainment areas; types of tourism in Ben Tre province, contributing to strengthening propaganda, introducing and promoting the image of Ben Tre tourism to people and domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, selecting tour guides of the province, sending them to participate in the "Tourist Guide at the Point" Contest of Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta organized by the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.
Contestants include licensed tour guides, including: International tour guides, Domestic tour guides and Tour guides at the place of work and living in Vietnam, guides of museums, monuments and staff at tourism businesses in Ben Tre province. The theme of the contest is: "Ben Tre - a safe, quality and friendly destination".
