Specifically, Facebook account Pham Van Tuyen posted a photo of the statistics of the beginning of the year revenues of Thanh Mien III High School on social networks and became the center of attention.
The items listed in this table include: Tuition, parking, personal insurance, health insurance, notebooks, seats, student ID cards, drinking water, sanitation, parent association fund, uniforms, electronic contact books, surveys, general tests, television, socialization, scholarship fund. The total revenue is 8,715,000 VND.
According to Mr. Tuyen, the list of these fees was drafted by the homeroom teacher after the parent-teacher meeting. The parents were not explained which fees were required to be paid according to regulations and which were paid voluntarily. The amount of money to be paid was quite large, so they were very concerned.
Mr. Pham Van Hy, Principal of Thanh Mien III High School, confirmed that the image of the beginning of the year collection of more than 8.7 million VND spread on social networks was drafted by a teacher in the school, but this is not the official plan.
Ms. Vu Thi Thuy - the homeroom teacher of class 10D of the school confirmed that the information on the list posted by Mr. Tuyen was created by her. However, according to Ms. Thuy's explanation, while creating the list, there was an emergency at home so she did not check and compare, leading to errors and confusion compared to the announcement in the school's expected contribution plan.
