Two months ago, Mr. Dang Le Dung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company 2 (ACS) submitted his resignation from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and legal representative of the company.

Mr. Dung only said that he wanted to resign for personal reasons. But surprisingly, recently, Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company 2 received a request to withdraw his resignation from Mr. Dung.

The reason for withdrawing his resignation was that Mr. Dung had arranged his work and wished to continue holding the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, member of the Board of Directors and legal representative of the company.

Previously, Mr. Dung was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACS from July 2020 and is one of two legal representatives of this enterprise.

It is known that the ACS Board of Directors convened an extraordinary shareholders' meeting in 2024 on November 19 to complete senior personnel. However, on November 18, the ACS Board of Directors announced the postponement and postponement of the extraordinary shareholders' meeting to December 11, 2024.

According to the minutes of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, shareholders approved the election of Mr. Le Duc Nguyen - permanent vice chairman of the Board of Directors as chairman of the ACS Strategic Orientation and Control Council.

At the same time, ACS also elected an additional member of the board of directors, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Hong - chief accountant of the enterprise.

The annual report said that ACS was a state-owned enterprise established by the Ministry of Domestic Trade (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade).

After equitization in 2008, the company no longer has state capital.

Currently, ACS's charter capital is 40 billion VND, headquartered in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, with main business line being construction.

Since 1994, ACS has started participating in the construction of Japanese foreign-invested projects in Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, Ho Chi Minh City.

After that, the business's area expanded to many industrial parks in many different localities.

Regarding business performance, the audited financial report for 2023 shows that ACS had revenue of more than VND 272 billion, a slight decrease compared to VND 278 billion in 2022. ACS's gross profit after deducting cost of goods sold was nearly VND 31 billion.

However, due to the decrease in financial revenue, while still bearing the burden of interest expenses and sales management, ACS's net profit was only over 19 million VND.

Although the profit is not significant, 2023 is still considered more positive than 2022 with a profit after tax of nearly 8 million VND.

ACS's business results have declined sharply since 2021. In the previous period, ACS still recorded profits of billions of dong. In 2020, this construction company's after-tax profit was nearly 12 billion dong.
