(Dan Tri) - Sharing pride in the popularity of Vietnamese dishes such as pho, bun cha, and nem ran, the owner of the Pho Viet chain of restaurants in the UAE invited the Prime Minister and his wife to enjoy Vietnamese flavors in Abu Dhabi.
On the afternoon of October 27 (local time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife Le Thi Bich Tran met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is the first activity of the head of the Vietnamese Government within the framework of his official visit to the UAE. Mr. Pham Xuan Thanh, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Community Liaison Committee in the UAE, shared that he has lived and worked here for 20 years. During that time, he clearly felt the positive changes in the lives of the Vietnamese community in the UAE. He recommended that competent authorities support connections so that Vietnamese people in the UAE who want to expand their business and trading areas can do so; support legal documents and issue citizen identification cards to Vietnamese people here... Ms. Nguyen Thi My Tan, Secretary of the Vietnamese Business Association in the UAE, shared many challenges that businesses are facing and hopes for adjustments such as easing visa regulations for UAE citizens to enter Vietnam. Representing the intellectual community, Mr. Vu Trong Thu, Lecturer at HCT University in the UAE, affirmed that he always wants to contribute to his homeland and country. Noting that the group of intellectuals regularly meets and exchanges knowledge and experience in applying technology to solve practical problems, Mr. Thu cited that after the recent Yagi storm in Vietnam, the group of Vietnamese intellectuals in the UAE contacted their domestic colleagues to exchange ideas about using satellite images to provide early warning of flash floods in each area. Ms. Pham Thi Luyen, owner of Vietnamese Pho restaurant in the UAE, shared that she always wants to bring the cultural and culinary values of Vietnamese people to the international community. She established a chain of restaurants in Abu Dhabi with the desire to introduce to the people here and international friends the rich and quintessential flavors of Vietnam through dishes such as pho, bun cha, fried spring rolls, banh cuon... Up to now, her restaurant chain has 4 stores with more than 100 Vietnamese employees. Recalling that on September 30, she was able to participate in the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day in Abu Dhabi organized by the Vietnamese Embassy, Ms. Luyen shared her pride when 400 bowls of pho and many portions of spring rolls and banh cuon were enjoyed by hundreds of local guests, diplomatic delegations, and friends from other countries and were extremely loved. Determination and innovation in the era of national development Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared his emotions when witnessing the Vietnamese community of more than 5,000 people studying, living and working in the UAE growing and developing. Referring to the Vietnam - UAE relationship, the Prime Minister assessed that the relationship between the two countries is developing very well. He believes that with the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the economic relationship between the two sides will develop strongly. The Prime Minister said that during this visit, the two countries plan to upgrade their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership and sign the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). On the basis of a trustworthy political foundation, trade and investment relations will be more vibrant. The Prime Minister affirmed the Party and State's view that the overseas Vietnamese community in general and in the UAE in particular are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese national community. The Party and State always pay attention, create favorable conditions, care for and support people to stabilize and integrate well into the local society, and at the same time encourage and create conditions for people to return to their homeland and actively contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. "In the era of national development, we must also innovate and be determined to reach the goal of becoming a developed, high-income country. A modern industrial country must have high-speed railways, airport systems, subways, and develop the nuclear energy industry and space," the Prime Minister stated the orientation for comprehensive and breakthrough development in the coming time.
