In 2021, Tay Giang invested in purchasing and installing equipment for online conferences, with a total cost of more than 2 billion VND. The district also invested in a system of 41 security cameras at traffic intersections. Mobile information waves have covered most communes.
In particular, 100% of government agencies, businesses, schools, and medical facilities in the district have installed and used broadband internet.
Agencies, affiliated units and 10 communes have specialized data transmission networks, using the province's shared software and applications, promptly deploying the installation of the VneID application platform, population data software, contributing significantly to the implementation of digital transformation according to Project 06.
Notably, the district's electronic One-Stop Information System has been operating smoothly and stably. The district has transferred 100% of administrative procedures (TTHC) through the Public Postal Service to receive and return the results of TTHC to people and businesses since the beginning of January 2023.
Mr. Mac Nhu Phuong - Vice Chairman of Tay Giang District People's Committee said that recently, Tay Giang has focused on allocating funding to implement investment in IT application and digital transformation with a total budget of nearly 10 billion VND.
Up to now, telecommunications network infrastructure has been widely covered, ensuring the ability to access and use IT for people and businesses. This contributes to reducing the digital gap, gradually improving the quality of people's lives through the network environment, especially in the fields of education and health.
Promoting the online conference system, Tay Giang District People's Committee organized meetings and dialogues with localities in a timely manner, shortening time, reducing travel costs, and bringing high efficiency to the management and operation of the government.
Currently, in Tay Giang, 100% of cadres, civil servants and public employees are equipped with computers and auxiliary devices to ensure working conditions in the network environment; 100% of agencies, units and localities digitally sign outgoing documents, receive and process incoming documents according to the correct procedures; 100% of cadres, civil servants and public employees from district to commune have been granted official email accounts to conduct exchanges at work.
