Details of civil servant salary table in 2025

(Dan Tri) - The salary of civil servants in 2025 will still follow the basic salary of 2.34 million VND, including 5 current salary tables.

According to Decree 204/2004/ND-CP, cadres, civil servants and public employees are applying 5 salary scales: Senior expert salary scale; Professional and technical salary scale for cadres and civil servants in state agencies (including cadres holding elected positions subject to salary classification according to administrative civil servant ranks and ranks and receiving allowances for leadership positions and civil servants in communes, wards and towns).

Professional and technical salary scale for cadres and civil servants in state-owned enterprises; Salary scale for employees in state agencies and state-owned enterprises; and salary scale for specialized cadres in communes, wards and towns.

Recently, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on the state budget estimate for 2025 at the 8th session. Accordingly, regarding the implementation of salary policy and some social policies, public sector salaries, pensions, social insurance benefits, monthly allowances, and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services will not be increased in 2025.

Thus, the National Assembly officially resolved not to increase salaries for the public sector in 2025.

This means that the basic salary will remain at the current level of VND 2.34 million/month, according to Decree 73/2024/ND-CP.

According to Circular 07/2024/TT-BNV, civil servant salaries are calculated using the formula: Salary = Basic salary x Salary coefficient.
