On the evening of August 2 and 3 alone, Vietnam had 3 more Misses and 13 Runners-up. It is estimated that in a year, there are more than 60 beauty contests held.

The final round on August 3rd evening Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 and Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024 all took place. As a result, the highest position of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 belongs to beauty Vo Le Que Anh. The remaining positions belong to Le Phan Hanh Nguyen (1st Runner-up), Vu Thi Thu Hien (2nd Runner-up), Lam Thi Bich Tuyen (3rd Runner-up) and Pham Thi Anh Vuong (4th Runner-up).

At the competition Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024, Contestant Pham Thi Ngoc Quynh surpassed other competitors to win the highest position. The title of First Runner-up belonged to Huynh Kim Anh, contestant Le Thi Anh Tuyet won the title of Second Runner-up.

Journalist and poet Duong Ky Anh - the "father" of the Miss Vietnam contest shared with VTC News that the purpose of beauty contests is to honor beauty. However, nowadays, many contests are organized for many different purposes and beauty is not the top priority.

"The purpose of most beauty pageants today is showing signs of commercialization. In my time, the most important purpose of beauty pageants was to honor beauty and guide the beauty of youth. Why is there such a thing as commercializing people? When people say that finding beauty queens to make money is devaluing women and prestigious pageants. In our time, there was no such thinking. Many pageants even spent billions to organize but did not make a single penny in profit.

I completely disagree and am very sad about the current state of commercialized competitions," Mr. Duong Ky Anh shared.
