Enterprises must ensure growth target of over 8.5%

(BD) - That was the request of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan at the meeting to review and assign growth targets and plans for 2025 to State-owned enterprises and enterprises with state capital in the province, on April 18. Attending the meeting were leaders of the departments of Finance, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Health and representatives of State-owned enterprises and enterprises with state capital.

According to the report of the Department of Finance, among 11 enterprises with state capital (5 enterprises in which the state holds 100% of charter capital, 3 enterprises in which the state holds 50% of charter capital and 3 enterprises in which the state holds less than 50% of charter capital), many enterprises have set financial plans and production and business plans (SXKD) for 2025 that do not ensure the growth target of over 8.5% according to the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

For the group of enterprises in which the State holds 100% of charter capital, Binh Dinh Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited will find it difficult to achieve a growth rate of 8.5%, because the activities of this enterprise are mainly ordered by the State according to the area of irrigation and drainage for crops and water supply for aquaculture. The group of enterprises in which the State holds more than 50% of charter capital has not built a production and business plan to ensure a growth rate of 8.5%. The Department of Finance has requested that enterprises rebuild their plans to implement production and business targets, ensuring a growth rate of over 8.5%, because enterprises in this group still have a lot of room for growth and development.

The group of enterprises in which the State holds less than 50% of charter capital, including Binh Dinh Minerals Joint Stock Company, will find it difficult to achieve a growth rate of 8.5%, because the enterprise's mineral exploitation license has expired, combined with difficulties in exporting goods.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested enterprises to determine that their growth goes hand in hand with the province's growth. The Department of Finance reviews and assigns targets for revenue, profit, labor productivity, etc. to enterprises and pays attention to investment costs and profits of enterprises to create conditions for sustainable development. The province agrees that the revenue growth rate is different from the profit growth rate, but enterprises must prove the investment costs to expand development space.

For enterprises, comrade Pham Anh Tuan requested to ensure a growth rate of no less than 8.5%. To achieve this goal, enterprises must expand development space, form new services and industries, and fully exploit customers. Comrade Pham Anh Tuan also suggested new development space for each enterprise and required enterprises to be proactive, quickly identify and grasp advantages and room for exploitation and development. Enterprises must apply science and technology, promote digital transformation, save costs, increase production and business efficiency; at the same time, streamline the apparatus, reform administrative procedures and implement a reporting regime in accordance with modern requirements.

The head of the provincial government also requested businesses to evaluate cadres based on criteria of capacity, qualifications, ethics and dedication. The arrangement of cadres must be based on capacity and qualifications, using specific results as a measure; cadres must have good ethics and qualities, dare to think, dare to do, dare to innovate, make breakthroughs and resolutely replace individuals who do not meet the requirements of the task.
