Big fire at plastic pellet factory in Bac Ninh

This afternoon (February 9), a major fire broke out at a plastic pellet factory in Lac Ve commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province. The fire spread to two neighboring factories, causing heavy damage.

According to initial information, the fire broke out at around 3:20 p.m. this afternoon. Immediately after receiving the report, Bac Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with Tien Du District Police and forces in neighboring areas to urgently mobilize fire trucks and soldiers to the scene.

Because the combustible material is plastic particles that spread easily, the flames rose high and smoke billowed.

However, because the combustible material was plastic pellets, combined with wind and dry weather, the burning area was larger than 1,000m2, the fire flared up fiercely, making it difficult to extinguish the fire.

The fire quickly spread to two neighboring factories.

Currently, authorities continue to extinguish the fire and cool the factory; the cause of the incident is being investigated; property damage is being estimated.

The entire factory burned down.

Dozens of officers and soldiers along with many fire trucks were present at the scene, carrying out firefighting work.

Many items inside the factory were completely burned. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.
