Young doctor with enzyme production technology in Vietnam

Doctor Nguyen Duy Lich, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Enzyme Technology Group Joint Stock Company - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enzyme VN Joint Stock Company, proudly shared about his brainchild that he and his colleagues had conceived for 10 years.

Create products that care for people

As a doctor, graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, after a period of wearing a white coat to treat patients, Mr. Lich chose a different path, not directly examining and treating patients but starting a business to create health care products for people.

Starting from his own condition as well as many people around him when back acne recurred and caused expensive treatment, Mr. Lich determined to start a business, creating probiotic products from fruits to treat back acne and folliculitis.

After success with biological cosmetic products, this young doctor switched to making enzyme drinks . In particular, Mr. Lich and his team of colleagues have successfully researched SBO technology to produce enzyme drinks, helping nutrients to be absorbed and affect the body very quickly. The company's enzyme drinks meet FDA, HACCP, GMP standards for safety and benignity.

Currently, his company is producing and trading two product lines: cosmetics and enzyme drinks from Vietnamese fruits and herbs. The products are not only circulated domestically but also exported to many markets.

From a doctor to starting a biological cosmetics company and now being the owner of Enzyme Technology Group in Vietnam is a process with many challenges and hardships. However, thanks to mastering the technology, Mr. Lich and his company have firmly created quality products, bringing many values to the people.

Mr. Lich shared: "Our products support the treatment and prevention of cancer, chronic non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, bones and joints... Enzymes are very important. Simply put, if the body is like a phone, enzymes will be the charger. A phone without a battery cannot be used. Just like a body without enzymes cannot live."

15 years for the aspiration of a billion dollar enterprise

What Mr. Lich is most proud of is making health protection products for himself, his family and society. "In addition, our products have many advantages, solving the problem of agricultural products for people. Instead of exporting raw products in the past, we now have the technology to process them into valuable finished products and then export them," Mr. Lich said, adding: "In addition to happiness, there is also pride. We build core values for the company, we are very proud to make a great product serving the country - a product with a Vietnamese brand."

Mr. Lich's goal in the next 2 years is to open another factory in Australia and develop the market to Europe. With the current technology platform, his aspiration is to complete the 15-year goal of becoming a billion-dollar enterprise.

Looking at the journey that Mr. Lich has gone through, many people will wonder why he switched from being a doctor to starting a business. For him, studying to be a doctor and switching to business is a passion, also a premise and a competitive advantage for himself.

Mr. Lich explained: "The industry I am starting is proactive health care for everyone, studying to be a doctor is the premise for me to choose the product I am selling. And proactive health care is also the trend of the present and the future. Thanks to studying medicine, I have the knowledge to orient what to research, build strategies to make products that meet market needs...".

His family initially decided to study medicine, but during his studies, Mr. Lich realized that he was more passionate about business. From then on, he took the initiative to study business administration in parallel, as well as management programs, and nurtured his dream of starting a business.

Mr. Lich's startup story makes many young people admire. Giving advice to young people, he frankly said: "Before wanting to start a business, being an owner also requires a few years of working for a salary. During the working process, you should approach the bosses to learn the thinking of leaders. Because you can make money from an empty pocket, but you will not be able to make much money from an empty head."

Mr. Lich added: "I have witnessed many young people starting a business but not succeeding because sometimes they have financial support from their families but lack experience, knowledge and experience. Starting a business is not about having a lot of money to be successful, but it is important that you have knowledge, experience and dedicated colleagues."

During his university studies, Mr. Lich himself worked as an employee, an assistant to the director of clinics... to learn the mindset of an entrepreneur. There were times when he accepted to work without pay just to gain experience. Although his study schedule was very stressful, he still arranged it. He chose weekends and after school hours to work. For him, learning the mindset of an entrepreneur before starting a business was very important.
