Wings of Dreams from the Learning Corner model for children

In the series of activities, projects and tasks "For beloved juniors", the Learning Corner model for children has been widely deployed by the Youth Union at all levels from district to grassroots and the Youth Unions in Ben Luc district, Long An province, becoming a movement with strong influence to implement the movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings". This is a meaningful and practical work that helps many poor team members and students have more conditions to go to school and excel in their studies .

Nguyen Huynh Thuong - a student of class 3/2, Ben Luc Town Primary School, is one of three poor students who received a study corner. Ms. Nguyen Huynh Ngoan (Huynh Thuong's mother) said: "Due to difficult circumstances, the family has not equipped a study corner, desk, chair, and study lamp for her child. Previously, Huynh Thuong sat on the floor, using a bed instead of a desk to study, affecting the quality of her studies. When Thuong was given a study corner, her family was very happy and thanked the school for their support. Since having a new study corner, Thuong has been very excited and interested in the learning process."

Each study corner awarded is worth from 1-3 million VND, ensuring all required standards such as age-appropriate tables and chairs, having Uncle Ho's 5 teachings for children in front of the study table, having a desk lamp with enough light, a timetable, a compartment for books, etc.

Secretary of the Youth Union of Ben Luc Town Primary School - Nguyen The Son said: “With the spirit of “Every learning corner given is a dream nurtured”, in the 2024-2025 school year, the school donated 3 learning corners to children in difficult circumstances. Each learning corner includes a desk, chair, study lamp and learning tools such as backpacks, books, etc. with a total cost of 1.4 million VND/set.

The program's funding comes from the "Small Plan" movement. The school continues to maintain the program to spread love , arouse the responsibility of the community and help poor students have more motivation to go to school.

Nguyen Huynh Thuong is very happy and excited to have a new study corner.

The Learning Corner model helps students have more joy, excitement, peace of mind in studying, and realizing their dreams.

In the coming time, the Ben Luc District Youth Union will continue to deploy the model, thereby arousing the love and responsibility of cadres, team members, students, and the cooperation and support of organizations, individuals and philanthropists so that poor children have the conditions to study, practice, and become useful citizens for their families and society./.
