Optimistic forecasts show that Vietnam will achieve many outstanding achievements in the fields of economy, science, technology and social development, contributing to improving the quality of life for each citizen.
Economically, the country is expected to maintain strong growth momentum thanks to effective reforms, especially in digital transformation and green industry development. Eco-industrial parks, renewable energy and the circular economy will become key drivers, both protecting the environment and bringing sustainable benefits. At the same time, science and technology will continue to shape Vietnam’s future, with major advances in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and biotechnology, bringing breakthrough products and improving people’s lives. Resolution 57 of the Politburo on innovation will be the guiding principle to promote these innovations.
The Year of the Snake 2025 is expected to be an important milestone in promoting institutional reform in Vietnam, turning institutions into outstanding competitive advantages in the international arena. In the context of increasingly deep integration, institutions are not only the foundation for national operations but also the decisive factor in the competitiveness of the economy.

First, simplifying and making transparent administrative processes and procedures to reduce informal costs, improve the effectiveness of state governance and create trust for domestic and foreign investors. Second, perfecting the legal system with a focus on promoting ownership rights, protecting the interests of businesses and people, while ensuring legal regulations are stable, consistent and predictable. Third, enhancing decentralization and delegation of power to localities, associated with accountability, helping to promote dynamism and creativity in socio-economic management and operation.
The year 2025 also promises to mark a strong shift in digital transformation in state management, creating an effective, transparent digital government that better serves people and businesses. Institutional reforms will help Vietnam better take advantage of opportunities from new-generation free trade agreements, while enhancing Vietnam's position in the global value chain.

This includes hosting the 4th Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals (P4G) Summit and the 16th UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) Ministerial Conference. A peaceful and prosperous Vietnam will be a reliable partner of international friends, affirming the image of a resilient and aspirational nation.
Despite its promising prospects, the Year of the Snake is not without its challenges. Climate change, global economic competition and pressures from institutional reform will require clear-sighted leadership and great determination.
