Thanh Hoa Cooperative Union is one of the units established earlier than many other provinces and cities in the country. The unit constantly innovates, develops and improves the efficiency of collective economy according to the Party's guidelines and the State's policies. At the same time, it performs well the task of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members, strengthening grassroots work, grasping the situation, combining inspection work to help remove difficulties and obstacles of collective economy organizations.

Up to now, the province has 1,364 cooperatives with 251,900 members. The average revenue of cooperatives reaches 7.55 billion VND/cooperative/year; the average income of regular workers in cooperatives reaches 51 million VND/person/year. With proactive integration and active application of science and technology, Thanh Hoa province has deployed many new cooperative models in all fields and occupations. Among them, there are many multi-occupation cooperatives, operating effectively, creating jobs for members, contributing to hunger eradication, poverty reduction, agricultural restructuring and new rural development, being a positive factor in implementing the OCOP Program, promoting socio-economic development of the province.

Through consulting, supporting, coordinating and guiding the application of science and technology in agricultural production, in recent years, the province's cooperatives and economic zones have seen the emergence of many outstanding cooperatives with high results in production and business. A typical example is Phu Loc Agricultural Service Cooperative (Hau Loc), which invested 2.5 billion VND to build a 1,500m2 hydroponic house, signed contracts with domestic and foreign enterprises to consume commercial crop products for members and implemented capital mobilization activities to support members in developing production, with annual revenue reaching over 25 billion VND. Thieu Hung Agricultural Service Cooperative (Thieu Hoa) maintains and develops 9 service stages (3 competitive stages and 6 public service stages), develops VietGAP safe vegetable areas, supports the consumption of agricultural products for the people; the cooperative's revenue reaches over 20 billion VND/year. Nga Truong Agricultural Service Cooperative (Nga Son) annually purchases more than 180 tons of commercial crop products for its members and people... The whole province currently has more than 100 agricultural cooperatives participating in linking production and consumption of products for member households. Along with that, there are 144 cooperatives and cooperative groups in the collective economic sector participating in developing OCOP products, contributing to awakening local strengths and improving income and quality of life of the people.

Every year, the Provincial Cooperative Union has strengthened its support and guidance for the establishment of new cooperative groups and cooperatives, coordinated the organization of 7-10 training courses for more than 400 cooperative officials and members, and dozens of study tours, trade promotion, and participation in fairs and seminars inside and outside the province. Thanks to that, the number of newly established cooperatives always ensures the plan assigned by the province; in which, the number of newly established cooperatives is increasingly diverse in production models, sensitive in applying technological processes to production, products are registered with trademarks, with clear traceability, and many cooperatives achieve outstanding business efficiency.

To continue to develop and strengthen the collective economy movement, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance continues to enhance its role and responsibility, actively support cooperatives to access and benefit from policies, expand production and business scale, promote linkage activities as a foundation for sustainable collective economy development, and implement local socio-economic development goals. At the same time, closely follow the plan of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance on the Month of Action for Cooperatives and the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 to propagate the Party's guidelines, policies, resolutions, directives, and laws of the State on collective economy. In particular, the focus is on promoting digital transformation in all aspects of cooperative activities. Thereby, improving the competitiveness of the collective economy sector, with cooperatives as the core, to improve operational efficiency and sustainable development, contributing more and more to the socio-economic development of the province.
