Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, said that implementing the national strategy on financial inclusion, one of the important pillars is to raise people's awareness and understanding of finance and banking. In particular, raising public awareness of financial risks, increasing financial access, and building a good financial community are identified as key factors.
On that basis, recently, Banking Times has built a column on comprehensive finance in the print and electronic editions of Banking Times, in which the content on comprehensive finance is presented in many rich and eye-catching forms such as videos, infographics, graphics, etc.; continuing to work with VTV to produce the program "Key Treasurer". This is a television program that has received many positive responses from the audience and has been highly appreciated by many classes of the public. Notably, within the next 2 months, for the first time, AI on comprehensive finance will be officially introduced to the public by Banking Times.

Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS, believes that in the context of a rapidly developing digital economy, modern citizens not only need to be good at professional knowledge but also need to have smart and independent personal financial management skills. This is not only a requirement of life, but also an indispensable part of the process of building a confident, independent and creative young generation. Besides, to build an increasingly developed country, it is not enough to stop at developing technology, digital transformation or digital economy. And the most important thing is to sow the seeds of financial knowledge early, so that the young generation of Vietnam can master money and master their own future.

Sharing about the rules and organization of the "Smart Finance" playground, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Director of VioEdu Online Education System, said that the playground will take place from June 30, 2025 to December 31, 2025 for high school students from grades 1-12. The structure of the playground includes 3 main rounds, which are the Start-up round (Online individual - 18 weeks); Team challenge round (Online individual - 4 weeks); Finishing round (National Final - Offline in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City). The playground also has a side tournament called Talkshow and Gameshow in the provinces and cities.
The short-term goal of the playground is to reach 5 million students in the first years, covering 63/63 provinces/cities nationwide. In the long term, it will reach 22 million students, expand the playground to ASEAN countries, and develop finance as a subject in the general education program. With a big goal, the unit has invested very carefully in technology infrastructure to meet the needs of students participating at the same time as well as ensure the system operates smoothly, continuously and effectively. In particular, when participating in the playground, parents and students will not incur any costs, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc shared.

“The playground is aimed at young people because they are the main workforce in the future. They are also the ones who regularly use technology applications to spread strongly in the community. Therefore, when we change the awareness, habits, consumer behavior, and financial knowledge of young people, we will create changes in the community. We hope that this cooperation will contribute to creating a good financial community, improving the quality of human resources in Vietnam in the future,” said the Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, sharing the reason for choosing high school students as the target audience.
According to the cooperation program, the two sides agreed to co-organize the "Smart Finance" playground with the goal of nurturing and educating financial knowledge for students nationwide to help them form smart spending habits, know how to save, invest effectively and practice personal financial management skills from an early age, ready to become digital citizens with solid financial knowledge.
Participating in the playground, students will overcome financial challenges designed from basic to advanced levels, practicing skills in managing spending, saving and making personal financial plans through each round. In particular, they will experience practical financial situations - "very real, very real and extremely necessary skills for adulthood", before entering the national final round.
With quality question systems, relevant content and lively competition formats on an online platform, the program will help students access knowledge about consumption, savings, and personal financial management in the form of "learning while playing - playing while learning".
The “Smart Finance” playground is expected to be deployed from May 2025, for primary, secondary and high school students nationwide. The playground is designed according to a modern model, combining online exams on the VioEdu platform and practical experience activities. It is expected that in the first year, the program will reach more than 5 million students.
Through the program, the two sides expect to contribute to concretizing the National Financial Strategy to 2030, in the direction of popularizing financial knowledge and promoting digital transformation in education. In which, the emphasis is on equipping knowledge, forming basic financial habits and thinking for people, especially through school education along with Resolution 03 on national digital transformation, promoting the application of digital technology in education and life.
In addition to the "Smart Finance" playground, in the coming time, with the spirit of determination to always do innovation right away, a series of events with hot topics, of public interest and the whole society related to the financial and banking sector will also be organized by Banking Times in many different forms, in order to improve the effectiveness of policy communication.
