The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) said that the two main parts of the Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal bridge, including the C2 ramp bridge and the main EDW bridge, have both reached important milestones.
Ramp C2 bridge has completed all construction work since March 30, 2024, while the main EDW bridge has also completed 158/158 bridge piers and 21/21 bridge deck spans, reaching 100% progress.
The remaining work is the installation of railings for the EDW bridge, which is currently being rushed and is expected to be completed in January 2025. The entire bridge will be handed over and ready for operation from February 20, 2025.
The bridge is a traffic access road in front of T3 terminal, not only an important part of the terminal infrastructure but also a modern highlight, helping to smoothly connect areas within the airport and outside traffic.
In addition to the bridge, many other items at Terminal T3 are also being accelerated to ensure completion on schedule. Of which, the entire aircraft parking area has been 100% completed and accepted, ready for exploitation from July 2024.
For the parking lot and traffic infrastructure, the base area and crushed stone grading at the parking lot have completed 20% and 90% of the volume, respectively.
The outdoor landscape has completed 64% of the leveling work and gathered 30% of the trees (283/874 trees), contributing to creating a modern, green space for the station area.
To date, the total construction volume has reached more than 83%, with many major items following or exceeding the plan. The T3 terminal project is expected to be completed by April 30, 2025, ahead of the original schedule, in time for operation during the country's major holidays.

According to Mr. Le Khac Hong, head of the Tan Son Nhat T3 Terminal Project Management Board, the investor and contractor have used many ways to solve difficulties with limited space and weather, working simultaneously with the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa project and under the condition that Tan Son Nhat airport is still operating normally.
"To inaugurate the project on April 30, 2025, we must complete the project one month earlier, which means there are less than 90 days left to complete. This is a huge challenge, requiring the relevant units to be united and make more efforts," said Mr. Hong.
Terminal T3 is the largest domestic passenger terminal in the country, with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year, with an investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND from the capital of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) - perspective of the T3 terminal project when construction is completed
