Singer Doan Trang and her daughter - baby Sol.
The launch of the series of 5 MVs is a journey to bring music from songwriting competitions closer to life and spread more widely, at the same time, also conveying important messages of the media movement on gender equality and eliminating violence against women and children.
The series of 5 MVs "Love Equal" also has the participation of many artists, singers and kols participating in the process of script ideas, filming, editing and production to spread the message of gender equality and eliminating violence against women and children, for a world of equality, respect, love and sharing.
Through the lens of music and images on gender equality and gender-based violence issues, built with the appearance of artists, singers, KOLs (Key opinion leaders or influencers) accompanying the campaign, #TheOrangeTeam hopes that the positive messages in this special music space can contribute to changing the community's awareness, thereby joining hands to spread love and protect women and children from all forms of violence.
The MV series originated from the 5 compositions that won the highest prizes at the "First Poetry and Songwriting Competition on Gender Equality organized by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) in Vietnam", held in 2023 within the framework of the Joint Program "Elimination of Violence against Women and Children in Vietnam 2021-2025" funded by the Australian Government.
The 5 songs include: First prize “Lover”; Two second prizes “Freedom” and “Boys and Girls” and two third prizes “The Tumbler” and “Song of Gender Equality”.
Sol once shared her story of school bullying, which led to the birth of the MV "Lover" in the series of 5 latest MVs of TheOrangeTeam.
The MV “Boys & Girls” opens a special series of MVs with very ordinary images of all genders and ages with moments of hard work, life pressures that anyone regardless of gender, sexual orientation and gender identity can experience but above all.
Director Chung Le Vy Thao also included many interesting and colorful scenes in the MV, creating a community tour with the appearance of a group of volunteer extras of many ages, genders and representatives of the LGBT community in unique Drag Queen costumes, joining hands to spread love at many famous destinations in Ho Chi Minh City such as Turtle Lake, City Theater, Ton That Dam old market...
The MV "Lover" with the script idea inspired by a true story about gender-based school violence and the brave choice to stand up to protect friends from violence and love shared by little Sol (Angelina - daughter of singer Doan Trang).
Director Nau Pham and his crew were inspired by this source to create “Lover”, which is not only a scene that recreates the inspiring story of little Sol but also conveys a message of love, that the haunting mental and physical violence can be completely eliminated in the community when each person dares to stand up to help, fight against violence and eliminate it with empathy and love among people living together in a community.
The painting in the MV "Lover" carries the spirit of "One world - One love - Equality - Safety".
“Lover” is also an MV in which the director and crew put in many impressive scenes, accented with retro style and colors so that everyone can return to the lingering emotions of school days, with innocent childhood scenes, a bit naive through each stroke of the young artists from Global Art & Creative Vietnam painting center and Y2K music.
“Nemo accepted to produce 'Lover' because he wanted to join hands to inspire respect and care for women and children around him through music.
In particular, the project has the participation of two young people in the company, Myine and Xanna, so Nemo added a little bit of the musical color of the Y2K era to this R&B/hiphop song", music producer Nemo - the person behind famous hits such as "Nguoi la oi", "Nang menh ca", "Yeu nhu ngay yeu cuoi", "Lover oi" shared.
The MV "The tumbler" is an interesting change of pace with scenes that bring gentle relaxation in emotions and life, to help people overcome the pressures of mental life and relationships that are still present with full of hurt to optimistically move forward.
TheOrangeTeam and domestic and international artists and kols were present this evening at the event to launch 5 MVs.
Or the MV "Freedom" brings messages aimed at breaking down gender stereotypes, which trap people in invisible social arrangements, causing them to live in fatigue and even shrink away from the world around them.
The exciting MV "Song of Gender Equality" - an MV that, according to the idea of young director Kachi Tran: "This will be the MV with the most "spontaneous" scenes in the series of 5 MVs.
"Song of Gender Equality" is built as a short film in documentary style, combining everyday scenes of the characters with touching and joyful moments, bringing the most authentic and close feeling possible to the audience, suitable for sharing on TikTok, YouTube and Facebook.
The series of 5 MVs "Love Equal" is expected to be widely released by MMusic on digital music platforms immediately after the announcement of its launch to spread widely to the community.
All profits (if any) will be donated directly to the Social Assistance Center - Peaceful House, No. 20, Thuy Khue, Tay Ho District - Hanoi, to join hands to support women and children suffering from domestic violence, abuse and trafficking.
The #TheOrangeTeam communication program is implemented by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) within the framework of the Joint Program to Eliminate Violence Against Women and Children in Vietnam for the period 2021-2025.
