On July 16, Mr. Van Dinh Hau - Director of Gia Lai Electricity Company - said that Chu Prong Electricity Company has temporarily stopped supplying electricity to Chu Se Water Supply Plant because this unit continues to violate its obligation to pay electricity bills.

The Chu Se Water Supply Plant's electricity debt has lasted for many months and the plant has had its power cut off.

After the most recent power outage on May 24, the factory investor requested to delay payment of old debts and pay off new debts, but then violated the agreement.

Mr. Van Dinh Hau said that according to the commitment, in early July 2024, Chu Se Water Supply Plant must pay the electricity bill for June and 20% of the arrears for previous months. It is now mid-July but the electricity industry has not seen this unit pay.

Up to now, the electricity debt of this unit has reached about 400 million VND. Therefore, cutting off electricity to the factory is a last resort because there is no other solution.

As Tuoi Tre Online reported earlier, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Gia Lai province is preparing steps to enforce the Chu Se Water Supply Plant to enforce the judgment between Chu Se Water Supply Joint Stock Company and the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade.

Gia Lai Province Civil Judgment Enforcement Department said that in order to not affect people's lives, when enforcing, the authorities will organize forces to maintain the factory's operations.
