On August 15, Thanh Thuy District Medical Center (Phu Tho) announced that it had successfully resuscitated a patient who had cardiac arrest while undergoing an ultrasound.
Previously, Thanh Thuy District Medical Center received a male patient (50 years old, in Thanh Thuy district) who was brought in by his family with increasing chest pain and a feeling of heaviness in his chest.
Upon arrival at the medical center, the patient was examined by doctors from the emergency, intensive care and anti-poison departments, who initially diagnosed the patient with chest pain of unknown cause and monitored for myocardial infarction.

The patient is assigned emergency necessary paraclinical tests for examination.
During the examination, when the doctor was performing an ultrasound in the emergency ultrasound room, he suddenly discovered that the patient had sudden cardiac arrest.
Immediately, the doctors called for support, performed chest compressions and quickly transferred the patient to the emergency department, intensive care and anti-poisoning.
Here, the doctors continued to perform CPR, control the patient's airway, defibrillator shock, and use drugs to stop ventricular fibrillation and vasopressor attacks.
After 20 minutes, the man's heartbeat returned. Doctors continued to maintain blood circulation, ensure breathing and transferred him to Phu Tho General Hospital.
Here, patients are cooled, have their blood filtered, and receive vascular intervention.
Currently, the patient's health is progressing well, the patient is awake, the endotracheal tube has been removed and he continues medical treatment at the Cardiology Department - Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital.
