Awarding the 'Fatherland's Gratitude' certificate to the mobile police officer who died while on duty

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed a decision dated March 28, 2025 to award the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat, rank: Sergeant, Non-commissioned Officer, Mobile Police Department, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police, Ministry of Public Security, who sacrificed his life while performing the task of arresting a subject with dangerous behavior for society, resisting law enforcement officers.

Previously, on March 3, 2025, while performing his duties in Ward 7 (Vung Tau City), Corporal Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat sacrificed his life while restraining a subject who was resisting and attacking, causing serious injury to the right chest area. The unit quickly took Corporal Nhat to the emergency room, but due to the seriousness of his injuries, he did not survive.

In recognition of the bravery and determination to fight and arrest criminals, ensure security and order, and for the peace of the people, on March 4, the Director of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police signed a Decision to promote the rank of soldier Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat from Corporal to Sergeant Major from March 3.

Sergeant Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat was posthumously awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal by the President, posthumously promoted to the rank of Sergeant by the Ministry of Public Security, and awarded the Brave Youth Badge by the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
