Yen Bai Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directs: Ensuring safety for the Walking on the Clouds Mountain Climbing Competition

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen Bai province has issued Official Dispatch No. 321/VHTTDL-QLTDTT signed by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long - Deputy Director, agreeing to organize the 2nd "Steps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Tournament, conquering Ta Xua peak, Tram Tau district in 2025 as proposed by the People's Committee of Tram Tau district.

At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen Bai province also requested the People's Committee of Tram Tau district to take the lead and coordinate closely with co-organizing units to determine the scale of the tournament, issue regulations, develop plans, establish an organizing committee, tournament organization procedures, referee work, prepare funds and conditions to ensure safety for athletes and participating forces, and organize the tournament in accordance with regulations. Report the implementation results to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism according to regulations.

The 2nd “Steps on the Clouds” Mountain Climbing Tournament - Conquering Ta Xua Peak, Tram Tau District in 2025 has 100 athletes participating, taking place from April 11 to April 13. The Organizing Committee will support all travel, food and accommodation expenses for the athletes participating in the tournament.

Participating in this tournament, athletes will have to overcome a distance of about 12 km of mountainous roads. The starting point is at the foot of Ta Xua mountain - in Ban Cong commune, Tram Tau district, the destination is Ta Xua peak, at an altitude of 2,865m above sea level, this is one of the highest mountain peaks in Vietnam.

Ta Xua Mountain is located in the south of Hoang Lien Son range, bordering Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province and Bac Yen district, Son La province.

Conquering Ta Xua peak is a wonderful experience, not only to challenge yourself but also to enjoy the wild natural beauty of the country. Every step on this journey will bring memorable emotions and unforgettable memories.

Prize structure of the 2nd "Steps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Competition: 2 sets of prizes

- Female Individual Prizes, including: 1 first prize; 1 second prize; 1 third prize and 3 consolation prizes.

- Men's Individual Prizes, including: 1 first prize; 1 second prize; 1 third prize and 3 consolation prizes.

Total prize value including cash and gifts up to 185 million VND including:

First prize: 35 million VND; Second prize: 25 million VND; Third prize: 15 million VND; Encouragement prize: 5 million VND.
