The reason they are called giant saw-toothed oysters is because their mouths are like saw teeth, each one can weigh over 3 kg, and their life cycle can last up to several decades. Saw-toothed oysters are currently a popular food, an indispensable dish for tourists when visiting the outpost island of Con Co.
