Ahead of the match between Vietnam U17 women's team and Thailand U17 women's team, coach Okiyama Masahiko not only expressed his respect for his opponent but also sent his deepest condolences to Southeast Asian countries and Thailand.

"I would like to send my sincere condolences to the people of Thailand and Southeast Asian countries that have just been affected by the earthquake.
