Near the Lunar New Year, in Hanoi, a "giant" Phalaenopsis orchid pot appeared with a price tag of 3 billion 868 million VND.

According to the owner, the Phalaenopsis orchid pot is made from 2,868 flower branches grown in Da Lat.

The pot used to graft orchids is gilded with gold, studded with precious stones and diamonds; carved with 9 dragons plated with 24K gold. The pot weighs about 1 ton.

In Hanoi, besides traditional orchid pots, there are also many orchid products combined with bonsai, mounted on driftwood, sold for prices ranging from several million to several hundred million VND.

“In recent years, Phalaenopsis orchid products placed on driftwood have been favored by many customers because of their new design and luxurious style. For this special product, the orchids must be carefully colored to exude the luxury of the flower pot," said a florist named Nghiep.

The process of creating orchid sculptures grown on driftwood will take from 3 to 4 hours depending on the size and number of orchids.

Most large, expensive orchid pots are mainly for display to attract customers.

Besides high-priced luxury items, it is noted that this year's orchid market is rich and diverse in types and colors, with prices of about 300,000 VND/branch.
