Cadence Design System, Inc. cooperates with SHTP to train human resources in the microchip industry.

On May 30, at Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP), Cadence Design System, Inc. and SHTP signed a cooperation agreement to develop a design workforce in the electronics sector and promote the development of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam. Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung and Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc.

Cadence Design System, Inc. (CDNS) and SHTP have signed a cooperation agreement.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc thanked Cadence Design System, Inc. for its cooperation as well as the support of ministries and branches with Ho Chi Minh City in the past time to develop the microchip industry.

“With the policies of the Party and the State in the strategy of developing the microchip industry, in recent times, Ho Chi Minh City has always been ready with conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies, land funds and especially highly qualified human resources to attract investment in the field of electronics and semiconductor microchips,” said Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc.

Through the cooperation, Cadence Design System, Inc. will provide IC design software tools and training programs to universities in Ho Chi Minh City. Thereby, aiming to help students increase practical experience in IC design and verification, and learn how to solve technical problems in the IC design process, PCB design and complete processes in IC design and manufacturing.

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of SHTP Management Board: “With a strong commitment from Cadence Design System, Inc. in promoting training and research activities in this field, we believe that the cooperation between the two sides will bring positive results, creating opportunities for students to access the latest technology and methods in IC design and system design; at the same time, accumulate practical experience to achieve success in the field of electronics and microchips”.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of SHTP Management Board, introduced the International Electronic Training Center at SHTP.

After the signing ceremony, the delegates of the Ministry and Ho Chi Minh City also visited the High-Tech Park Microcircuit Design Training Center (SCDC) and the International Electronics Training Center (IETC) according to the first international standards in Vietnam at SHTP.
