Appointing Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to be District Party Secretary

TPO - The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to transfer, assign and appoint Mr. Duong Anh Duc, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the District 1 Party Committee.

On the morning of May 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to announce and award personnel decisions. Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee chaired the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen presented the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the transfer, assignment and appointment of Mr. Duong Anh Duc, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the District Party Committee of District 1.

Mr. Duong Anh Duc was born in 1968 in Da Nang City. Mr. Duc has the professional qualifications of Associate Professor, Doctor of Information Technology, and Senior Political Theory.

Before being assigned to hold the position of Secretary of District 1 Party Committee, Mr. Duong Anh Duc had held the following positions: Principal of the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
